Moisturizing Cream: Your best ally against Dry Skin and Acne
We usually associate acne to oily or combination skin. However, some people with dry skin also experience acne problems. Dealing with acne and dry skin is quite different than dealing with acne and oily skin.
First of all, dry skin is very sensitive to acne fighting ingredients. And, when cleansing dry skin, it doesn't react well to soap or water either. So, what is left for you to do?
The answer is really quite simple: moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. That's right, the moisturizer you are using is your best ally in the war against acne problems and here's why:
Dry Skin Problems
People with dry skin, usually suffer from acne pimples that appear under the surface of the skin. The reason this happens is that dry skin tends to have tiny cracks in the surface that allow acne bacteria to enter and wreak havoc.
To keep this from happening it is important to use a skin moisturizer as often as needed throughout the day. Here are a few things that can help you maintain a healthy acne skin care routine for dry skin.
The Proper Dry Skin Care Routine
Any skin care routine should begin with a clean face. For dry skin, you can use a cream cleanser, cold cream or olive oil. Apply a facial cleanser, massage gently, and then wipe off with a damp, warm washcloth.
After cleansing, use an alcohol-free toner to remove any lingering residue that the cleanser was unable to remove. Also, you should use a natural exfoliant at least once a week to remove excess dead skin cells.
Once you've cleansed, toned, and exfoliated, you should finish off using a creamy, facial moisturizer. If you have dry skin, make sure that you use an alcohol and fragrance-free moisturizer and reapply as often as necessary.
You can also use products that contain special natural ingredients, such as tea tree oil, to help fight off acne bacteria. This product is less harsh than benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Nevertheless, start off slow as tea tree oil can also cause minor irritation.
If your skin reacts negatively towards this type of ingredient then you can try another known as helix aspersa muller extract. This natural ingredient has proven effective against acne yet gentle on all skin types.
Honey is another natural ingredient that has antibacterial properties and can help eliminate the bacteria that cause acne. You can also use a honey mask once a week or make a moisturizing mask that uses honey and olive oil.
Acne and dry skin are difficult to treat unless you know where to look. Natural skin care products such as BIOACNECARE and BIOSKINBALM offer dry acne skin relief obtainable with this very special acne treatment cream. Both of these products contain natural ingredients which make them safe on all skin types.
