by Lisel Torgerson

A person that has severe acne knows how difficult it is to keep acne at bay. If you suffer from severe or cystic acne, it's very probable that you've decided to use acne medication to treat your problem. Treating acne vulgaris with acne medication can indeed be quite effective. However, most aren't aware of all the side effects they can have.

Accutane is probably the most known acne medication. Acne sufferers that have opted for Accutane have probably seen really good results in a short period. But Accutane has been discontinued because of their rocky past including several lawsuits due to their harsh side effects. The manufacturer also decided to stop selling the medication due to a huge drop in sales. There are cheaper and equally effective treatments with similar composition in the market today. Nevertheless, they are known to cause similar side effects.

Mild Side Effects: Dry skin, dry lips, dry eyes and mouth, abnormal hair growth, hair thinning, etc.

Severe Side Effects: Allergic reactions, violent behavior, depression, suicidal thoughts, birth defects, miscarriage, etc.

For those who have to 'only' experienced mild side effects of any acne medication they might be taken are unfortunately left with dry skin. Let's just say that it doesn't make your skin look any better. You've basically dealt with one problem to continue with another!.

Acne Dry Skin Treatment & Cream

Most skin care products in the market only address one main problem. The majority of skin care products you'll find only address one main problem. Treating acne prone skin with a regular cream intended to deal with dry skin isn't the best choice for you. Dry skin care products usually contain oils that can make your acne prone skin to react and form breakouts. This is how you treat acne and dry skin:

Start by cleansing your face. When treating dry skin, you should use a cream cleanser or non-comedogenic oil. Apply your cleanser, massage and then wipe off.

Once you've cleansed, you should finish off using a creamy, facial skin moisturizer. If you have dry skin, make sure that you use an alcohol and fragrance-free moisturizer and reapply as often as necessary.

What Moisturizer Should You Use?

If your skin becomes irritated or you are unable to find products that contain tea tree oil, you can use products that contain another natural ingredient: helix aspersa muller extract. This natural ingredient has proven effective against acne yet gentle on all skin types.

Acne and dry skin can be a complicated skin problem to deal with, but there is always a way. By using BIOSKINCLEAR or BIOACNECARE you can get an acne treatment cream and dry acne skin relief, respectively. Both of these products contain natural ingredients and can be used to treat all skin types.
