Explaining Where Whiteheads and Blackheads Come From

by Martha Fitzharris

Acne is the skin condition that impacts on the greatest percent of the population of the world. Non-inflammatory acne in the form of blackheads and whiteheads are the most widespread type of this widespread skin condition. This fact warrants them a detailed description on top of stating what skin care cream is best for an effective facial skin care routine.

The Root Cause

Sebum, or skin oil, is naturally produced through the sebaceous glands found beneath the surface of the skin. Under normal conditions our skin drains the excessive sebum to the skin's surface by route of its skin follicles, or pores. These types of pathways leading to the surface could often get clogged. If this happens, the sebum can't travel by way of the follicles and it will become trapped. While the sebum is locked underneath the surface of the skin, bacteria will begin to grow. This blockage is often known as a comedone, and it is the beginning formula that then leads to the development of both whiteheads or blackheads.

Whiteheads

Whiteheads appear in the form of comedones when the trapped sebum and bacteria rise from just below the skin's surface. Neither air nor oxygen can enter the skin to reach them. If it could, the oxygen would burn the substance off naturally and that would be that. Since the sebum cannot be oxidized, the 'white' color of the material comes into play. Because they remain closed they are typically referred to as closed comedones. They typically resemble tiny white spots that could be small or even invisible to the naked eye.

Blackheads

More than likely to develop on people with oily skin, blackheads are a kind of acne know as open comedones. The microscopic hole that lets in oxygen to enter the comedone is what oxidizes the sebum and skin cells and produces the blackish color. This opening is the main difference that separates it from a whitehead.

How to Treat Whiteheads and Blackheads

It is most important to find a skin care product that works well for your particular skin type. Washing twice daily using an organic skin care product is enough for anyone's face skin care regimen.

BIOSKINCARE CREAM is a 100% pure, natural acne skin care cream that has ingredients that are healing and restorative for all skin types. It is a skin care cream that contains the special ingredient of snail secretion. Snails have skin that share the same structural characteristics that the skin of humans contain. Snails emit this secretion to guard their skin from harmful solar UVA radiation, oxygen radicals and attacking microorganisms. An effective skin care product for eliminating non-inflammatory acne entails having this type of ingredient to regenerate your skin in addition to also making it blackhead and whitehead free.
